The first three meetings will be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey and Albania
As the IPA DRAM Programme enters its implementation phase, national meetings in each Partner country will be held to progress in the disaster risk assessment process compared with the status of each Partner, to improve risk mapping capacity and data sharing, to facilitate disaster loss data collection aligned with new Sendai requirements and to give a solid push to the activities contained in the Plan of action.
An overview of risks will be drafted after finalization of the technical workshops and will be presented in the third Steering Committee meeting.
The first national workshop was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina on 7 and 8 February lead by IPA DRAM Working Group BIH and supported by IPA DRAM Key experts team with the participation of reference institutions
The second workshop will be in Turkey. The city of Ankara will host a 3-day meeting, on 14, 15 and 16 February. The IPA DRAM Team Leader and the key experts will be joined by senior expert from Croatia, IPA DRAM consortium partner and will assist AFAD, Prime Ministry Disaster&Emergency Management Authority of Republic of Turkey In implementation of agreed plan of action.
The third and last workshop of the month will be held in Tirana, Albania, on 26 and 27 February. This time the IPA DRAM team will be supported by hazard specific experts on earthquakes, floods and wild fires from DPC Italy and will in addition to national priorities, specified in agreed plan, work also on regional approach to specific hazards.
