The Italian Civil Protection Department (DPC) hosted an Exchange of Experts on wildfire risk on April 10th and 11th. The two-day exchange was organized thanks to the collaboration of COAU – Unified Airborne Operations Centre of DPC, the Italian Fire Fighters and Carabinieri. It focused on how the Italian system of civil protection tackles and respond to this type of risk. The delegates – from IPA DRAM countries Albania, Bosnia&Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Republic of North Macedonia and Turkey and a delegation from Sweden (MSB and RSNV) had the chance to visit the Operational Rooms of DPC, Regione Lazio and Airport of Ciampino and forest fighting air fleet.
